Who we are

This website is operated by Cyber Intelligence Consulting ("we," "us," or "our"), a cybersecurity consultancy based in Lehi, Utah, serving small and medium businesses in Utah County, Salt Lake County, and nationwide remotely. This policy covers cyberintelconsulting.com and the prospective-client inquiries we receive through it. It does not cover the separate, confidential agreements that govern data handling during an actual client engagement — those are set out in your service contract.

The information we collect

We keep this deliberately minimal. We only collect what we need to respond to you and to understand how the site is used.

• Information you give us through the contact form. When you submit an inquiry, we collect your name, work email, company name (optional), and the message you write. We use this solely to respond to you and discuss whether we're a good fit.
• Information collected automatically. Like virtually every website, our host and our analytics tool record standard technical data when you visit — your approximate location (typically city-level, derived from your IP address), browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived. This is used in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify you personally.

We do not ask for, want, or knowingly collect sensitive personal information through this website, and we never sell your personal information.

Cookies and analytics

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses cookies and similar technologies for one purpose: website analytics.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site — which pages are popular, how people navigate, and where they come from. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (for example, _ga and _ga_<id>) to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These are analytics/statistics cookies, not advertising cookies — we do not run advertising or marketing tracking pixels on this site.

You are in control of these cookies. You can:

• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this, and the site's content, navigation, and contact form all work normally with cookies disabled.
• Opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser, which we honor as an opt-out request where applicable law requires it.

The third-party services we rely on

We don't run our own servers. A few trusted providers process limited data on our behalf, each under their own privacy terms:

• Netlify — hosts this website and keeps standard server access logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability.
• Formspree — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox.
• Google Analytics — provides the aggregate usage statistics described above.

We share information with these providers only to the extent needed for them to perform their service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form inquiries only as long as needed to follow up and, if you become a client, to maintain our business relationship. If you'd like us to delete an inquiry, just ask. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings and is held in aggregate, non-identifying form.

How we protect it

This site is served over encrypted HTTPS, and we apply the same security practices we recommend to clients to the limited data we hold. That said, no method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, and we encourage you not to send confidential or sensitive details through the contact form — a quick "let's talk" is enough to start.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We're happy to honor these requests regardless of where you live — to make one, email contact@cyberintelconsulting.com and we'll respond promptly.

Children's privacy

This is a business-to-business website. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
